I am a freelance writer covering such diverse topics as music, lifestyle and home entertainment technology.
Born in Northamptonshire in 1966 I was educated and raised in Lancashire, before studying in business at Bradford in the mid 1980's. I had a long and varied career in the hi-fi and home entertainment industry, before following my true calling and becoming a writer.
Music is my passion, and I love listening to it, talking about it, writing about it, and learning about it, so much so that I have often been called a walking musical encyclopaedia! My music writing is featured in my regular column at Metaltalk.net, plus you can read my occasional wedding advice column here at Confetti.co.uk. Starting with issue 21, my work is to be featured in Autumn Leaves, the official magazine of critically acclaimed rock band Mostly Autumn.
In recent months I have been working as an intern for Little Black Dress, writing copy for the webstore amongst other things. Do keep an eye on my blog for my occasional thoughts on life, music and technology. Feel free to comment away!
Currently I reside in West Lancashire, only five minutes walk from the beautiful countryside of The Fylde, with my lovely wife of 9 years and our varied collection of pets, in a house that is a cross between your favourite record shop and a branch of Richer Sounds.
I like to live life to the full, and make the most of my time on this earth. There is nothing I like better than being in the company of family and good friends for a night of laughter, good music and good cheer.
